Call for Proposals

The Glaser Center for Grounded Theory at the Institute for Research and Theory Methodologies, with the support of CQ University, is excited to announce that the 2026 Classic Grounded Theory International Virtual Conference will be held April 15-18, 2026.

This conference brings together classic grounded theory researchers from around the world to present research using classic grounded theory, provide training and support for new classic grounded theory researchers, and build a community of researchers interested in classic grounded theory.

The primary language of the conference is English.  However, we are accepting some presentations and posters in other languages.

The conference will include the following strands:

  • Learning Grounded Theory through presentation sessions, workshops, panels, and Q&A sessions
  • Doing Grounded Theory, presentations of grounded theories by researchers
  • Building Community, which are sessions specifically designed to facilitate building relationships among conference attendees.
  • Posters and Developmental Papers that present proposals or work-in-progress

See Submission Guidelines HERE for more information.

Proposals may be submitted at https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79050/submitter. Proposals will be accepted until December 15, 2025.
